API to make case against new energy taxes

The American Petroleum Institute will tell lawmakers that most voters are against new energy taxes, which could reduce energy production and affect investment, said Stephen Comstock, API tax and accounting policy director. "The players continue to change on the budget and other committees," he said. "It's another opportunity for us to engage with a broader group and get their impressions and feedback," he added.
