Australia pilots wave-energy unit

Oceanlinx, an Australian wave-energy firm, has developed a "1MW wave-energy-to-electricity unit." The unit sits on a prefabricated, reinforced-concrete flat pack in the water of South Australia and didn't require seabed preparation. The unit will be tested for a year to see how well it works and connects to the grid. Eventually, the company could scale the unit up to 10MW.
