The company's social strategy was focused solely on marketing in the beginning but current findings have implications for research and development and advertising. "Social listening is a critical backbone to doing business in the 21st century. It's a key component to understanding consumers' needs and operating in a real-time environment," said Stephanie Moritz, head of PR and social media.
