HHS: Many single young adults can buy ACA coverage for $50 or less

Almost half of 2.9 million single young adults looking for coverage from 34 state-run and federal insurance exchanges could buy a health plan for $50 or less monthly, HHS said in a report released Monday. Around two-thirds of single adults in the study could pay $100 or less, counting subsidies, the agency said. The information was released amid concerns that healthy, young people will not sign up for coverage. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the ACA "is making health insurance more affordable for young adults."
