Hospice care awareness increasing in Mass., chaplain says

Massachusetts is seeing increased interest in hospice care, said the Rev. John Pastor, a chaplain at JHC Hospice, an affiliate of Jewish Healthcare Center. More people are having end-of-life care conversations and talking about hospice in a positive manner, and medical schools are putting an increased focus on end-of-life care and consideration of patient's spiritual needs.
