House GOP lawmakers seek to speed up procedures for cross-border projects

House Republicans have unveiled a bill that would accelerate review procedures of other cross-border oil and natural gas pipelines. The measure would require the Department of Commerce to green-light an application for a pipeline within 120 days unless the project isn't in the national security interest. "Keystone is not, is not, the issue today," said Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., adding that many other projects could face delays.
