Investor: TriQuint should sell its mobile PA line, close a fab

Starboard Value, which holds an 8% equity stake in TriQuint Semiconductor, says the chipmaker should look at selling or restructuring its mobile power amplifier line to focus on its business in chips for the military and for networks. Starboard also advocates the closing of TriQuint's wafer fabrication facility in Oregon and outsourcing more of its production to foundries. TriQuint has not commented on the suggested moves.
