N.H. launches initiative to boost school-breakfast participation

A school recently kicked off the New Hampshire School Breakfast Challenge with an appearance by former New England Patriots player Jermaine Wiggins. The initiative -- sponsored in part by the School Nutrition Association of New Hampshire -- seeks to boost student participation in school breakfast by 25% over the next two years. "Children who start their day with a nutritious breakfast are better prepared to succeed," said Cheri White, administrator for the state's National School Lunch Program.
