Survey: 87% of U.K. game developers want new business models to combat piracy

Almost 6 in 10 British game developers acknowledge piracy as a serious issue, and 87% would prefer to battle the problem with new business models such as free-to-play and subscriptions, according to a Tiga survey. In contrast, only 10% of the developers wanted stricter legal enforcement of their intellectual-property rights. The developers were split on whether piracy would constitute a real threat to their businesses in five years.
