Survey: Advisers widely note value of REITs but see ways to improve

Two-thirds of advisers surveyed agreed that non-traded real estate investment trusts should be part of client portfolios, according to a study by the Investment Program Association and Robert A. Stanger & Co. But respondents laid out several ways REIT offerings could be enhanced, including more transparency, availability of greater liquidity and higher investor preferences and earnings coverage.
