Tavenner testifies on ACA website rollout, issues apology

CMS Administrator Marilyn Tavenner testified on Tuesday about the troubled rollout of the Affordable Care Act's federal health insurance exchange website. "I want to apologize to you that the website is not working as well as it should," Tavenner told the House Ways and Means Committee. "I want to assure you that HealthCare.gov can be fixed, and we are working around the clock to give you the experience that you deserve." Tavenner also cited contractor CGI Federal's failures in its role in the exchange. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is set to testify before another panel today.
