Thales to test real-world cybersecurity incidents in massive new lab

Defense contractor Thales said it is building a multimillion-dollar cybersecurity war room in the U.K. where it will run simulations and test protocols in cooperation with the British government, the business community and academia. The Cyber Integration & Innovation Centre will consist of three parallel labs that can model client environments, will house more than 6,000 pieces of malware and will employ roughly 100 security experts when it's fully operational, according to the company.
