Tissue, eye, organ donors in Minn. exceed nationwide average for donors

The number of registered tissue, eye and organ donors in Minnesota has increased by 13% from 2010, reaching 2.6 million this year and continuing to exceed the national average. The Make Your Mark initiative is being launched to inform teens about registering as donors. "Minnesotans are generous and are eager to support important work, so it's no wonder that more than half of our friends and neighbors are organ donors," said state Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mona Dohman.
