Vegan dishes, octopus top list of top 10 food trends for 2013

The past year has brought many changes to the U.S. food scene, including fleeting mashup dishes such as the Cronut, but other trends, including high-end vegan food and throwback appetizers, deviled eggs and lobster rolls, are here to stay, writes Andrew Bender. Restaurants have also begun serving more octopus, Korean flavors and small dessert portions.
