Watch out for these costly small-business scams

Several types of scams are commonly aimed at small-business owners, Robert Moskowitz writes. For example, unscrupulous individuals might try to bilk you out of your hard-earned cash by pretending to help you secure government grants or low-cost loans. The cost of learning the hard way about a scam can be devastating. "If you suspect that someone is scamming you, stop participating in the deal immediately -- and cancel any accounts you've inadvertently compromised," Moskowitz writes.
