Study: Hard drives in an avalanche of data

Worldwide, 5 billion gigabytes of data was created in 2002, or enough to fill 500,000 U.S. Libraries of Congress. according to a study by the University of California. Interestingly, the amount of information stored on paper rose 43% since 1999, the last time the study was conducted.
