NBA star donates cash to 82 lucky schools

Eighty-two D.C.-area schools are expected to win an average of $3,000 this basketball season, as Washington Wizards star player Gilbert Arenas has pledged to pay out $100 for each point he scores at home, and team owner Abe Pollin matching that payout at away games. "I always dreamed of a player doing it for my school," said Arenas when asked what inspired him.
