Alloy finds its audience, but not the profitability mark

Alloy Entertainment has repeatedly shown it can produce TV and books that strike a chord with teen girls and young women. The two films made from the Alloy book "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" grossed $83 million, and the company has four new movies in development at major studios. So why can't the red-hot media enterprise turn a profit? Maybe because it has diversified too much.
