AT&T will pay "video" fees on U-verse service

AT&T has agreed to begin paying fees to the FCC for regulating its U-verse service, but it said the company should be required to a pay only an "equitable share," which will likely be less than what cable operators pay, because of the agency's lesser regulatory burden from AT&T's IPTV-based technology.
