Teacher turned lesson into real-life political campaign

A Nevada teacher has written a book about her bid for a congressional seat in a campaign managed by her students, which Tierney Cahill said she viewed as a hands-on learning activity for her class. Within her run for elected office, which she eventually lost, Cahill said her students learned about government, civic engagement, and even math and language arts.
