Drug trials may yield hope for Alzheimer's sufferers

Hope for Alzheimer's sufferers is being raised by new drugs that are in clinical trial stages. A Pfizer vaccine is among the treatments being evaluated in six trials headed by Dr. Joel Ross, founder of Memory Enhancement Centers of America. "I am cautiously optimistic that the Pfizer vaccine we are testing will prove effective and be able to dramatically slow down the progression of AD," Ross says, noting that test results should be available in the coming year.
