North Carolina is conducting survey on propane-tank safety rules

North Carolina has handed out surveys to consumers regarding the new federal safety rules on using underground propane tanks. The rules took effect in January and require consumers to strictly follow safety inspections and keep their testing documentation updated. "We want tank owners to comply with the rules and we are asking them to give us ideas on how to accomplish that," said Richard Fredenburg of the state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
