Mobile will be tested in several ways by the massive storm sweeping the East Coast of the U.S. The durability of networks is one key, but also the capacity and ability of news and weather sites to bear increased traffic as residents who lost power turn to mobile for vital information. Advertising that directs users to relief operations and collects donations is also likely to be tested.
