Food, beverage companies focus on bottling breakfast

Breakfast, both in-home and in foodservice, continues to grow in importance, and both food companies and beverage-makers are looking to provide convenient, on-the-go options for busy consumers. Technological advances that allow for new methods of adding protein and fiber to beverages are making it easier to offer drinks with the nutrition of a complete meal. "It’s always a viable occasion, but until recently, we've never seen things come together that could be mastered as convenient, tasting good, satisfying nutrition needs and filling you up," said food and beverage consultant Greg Fleishman.
