Good Web ad placement is key to positive user experience

Placing advertisements on websites so they don't interfere with user experience is a key part of good Web design, Dustin Cartwright wrote. Good ad placement can be done by making ads look similar to content and designating them as sponsorship, such as Twitter's Promoted Tweets, or by including ads in sidebars where they don't distract from the content. The worst ads feel like they weren't designed to fit with a website and can be give a website an unprofessional feel, he noted.
