Infosys, DOJ reach $34 million settlement in visa case

Infosys has agreed to pay $34 million to settle charges that it knowingly sent workers without proper visas to clients in the U.S. The settlement was the largest ever involving alleged civil fraud related to visas, according to the Justice Department. Infosys was not required to admit criminal wrongdoing, and the technology-services firm denied claims of widespread illegal activity.
