Neb. students explore North America with giant traveling map

About 2,000 Nebraska students recently explored North America's vast landscape and features with National Geographic's Giant Traveling Map, a vinyl map measuring 35 feet by 26 feet. The map, used with students from kindergarten through eighth grade, was incorporated into interactive games while students also read books about the physical characteristics of a continent. Tara Dunn, a teacher in Sioux County, helped bring the map to the schools.
