U.S. hiring lags as consumer prices barely budge

Both U.S. hiring and inflation are down, according to the latest figures for this month and last. The private ADP National Employment Report revealed the slowest rate of hiring in six months in October, while the Labor Department reported a 0.2% rise in consumer prices for September. Both figures indicate the Federal Reserve is likely to sustain its stimulus.
