Va. education board signs off on improvement plan for struggling district

A three-year corrective plan for Petersburg city schools has been approved by the Virginia Board of Education. The plan is aimed at improving academic performance so the district can meet accreditation standards, as well as improving literacy and technology at the schools. This is the second memorandum of understanding the school system has entered into with the board of education to improve school performance.
