Wis. town prepares to simplify the sign process

Business owners in Marshfield, Wis., cheered a proposed new sign code that would make signage rules easier to understand and implement correctly. If approved, the new rules would go into effect Jan. 1. "I really don't think people will see anything different, but for us, where you can place a sign, whether it's temporary or an electronic messaging board, all of that is important," said Frank Baltus, co-owner of Baltus Oil.
