Small turnout at school tech showcase due to budget shortfalls

The smaller-than-expected crowd at last week's National School Boards Association annual Technology + Learning conference in Anaheim, Calif., spent less time viewing the latest high-tech tools and more time discussing practical applications for technology in the classroom. Conference organizers attributed the light turnout to school funding cuts and reduced travel budgets.
