Wilma deals blow to South Florida's building boom

A building boom in South Florida, already being hurt by worker shortages and soaring construction costs, was dealt another blow by Hurricane Wilma. The storm left about 35% of Fort Lauderdale's downtown office space "not functional for use," and repairs to buildings throughout the region will cost millions and likely be a greater setback for the construction boom.
