Standard Register to trim work force by 5%

Standard Register Co. announced plans to cut about 150 jobs by the end of the year. The 5% work force reduction will save the document-services company $11 million. Dayton, Ohio-based Standard Register also froze pension benefits and consolidated facilities in the third quarter of this year to save $13 million.
