Nursery in New Jersey cultivates trees for national monuments

Halka Nurseries in Millstone Township, N.J., has become an established supplier of huge trees for national and historical sites, including the 9/11 memorial currently under construction. The company raises trees on elevated wooden boxes to protect the plants' root system before these are transferred to project locations. A technician also visits the trees twice a month from April to October to maintain them and ensure their proper growth.
