U.S. economy grows 2% in Q3, but too slow to cut unemployment

Boosted by a rise in consumer spending, the gross domestic product grew 2% in the third quarter, up from 1.7% in the last quarter, according to the Commerce Department. Although the U.S. economy has grown since late last year, growth has not been strong enough to bring down high unemployment, the report showed.
