Weak cargo screening puts passenger flights at risk

Cargo screening remains a weak point of aviation security for passenger flights as well as cargo flights, experts say. They note that cargo on passenger planes that originates from countries without organized security systems is often only lightly inspected, if it is screened at all. Meanwhile, they note that some countries that have strict security rules may lack rigorous enforcement.
