AOL wants a bigger slice of the mobile-ad market

AOL is trying to rebound from its lackluster mobile-advertising business by launching new applications and websites as well as beefing up its sales staff, according to this report, which quotes figures showing the company with just a 0.8% share of the U.S. mobile-ad market. AOL is also introducing technologies designed to make it easier to measure the effectiveness of mobile and Web advertising.
