CAD raises risk of colorectal adenomas, study says

Patients diagnosed with coronary artery calcification, a marker for atherosclerosis, are more likely to have colorectal adenomas, South Korean researchers told a cancer research conference. They said coronary artery disease and colorectal neoplasms both are linked to inflammation and also share risk factors such as obesity, smoking and diabetes.
