Sony to reorganize loss-ridden TV business

After having lost money on manufacturing television sets for seven straight years, Sony will reorganize its TV business to better compete against other TV suppliers, such as Samsung Electronics and Vizio. The consumer-electronics giant has set up a new group for liquid crystal displays, another for overseeing contract manufacturing operations and a third for developing next-generation TV sets.
