Americans are finally eating healthier, NPD says

Americans are eating more fruit and yogurt and drinking less soda and more water, according to data released by The NPD Group. Fruit has moved up to become the second-most-popular food eaten by Americans, compared with fifth 10 years ago. Obesity has begun to level off amid such healthier food choices, chief industry analyst Harry Balzer says.
