The Epocrates Bugs + Drugs application for tracking bacterial superbugs and how they react to medicines by ZIP code has been downloaded 100,000 times in just a month, a high number considering that it is for health pros, not consumers, Elizabeth Armstrong Moore writes. The app helps physicians see how a particular bug is spreading and how it reacts to treatment with specific drugs. "It is a very pretty app, but the information is actually incredibly useful," according to one doctor's checkup.
