FAA is not prepared for NextGen certifications, official says

Jeffrey Guzzetti, assistant inspector general for aviation audits at the Department of Transportation, said the Federal Aviation Administration is not adequately prepared for NextGen certifications. "[T]he agency uses a first come, first served approach to certifications. As a result, many applicants may be significantly delayed if more complex certifications are ahead of them," said Guzzetti, who testified before a House subcommittee.
