Mont. school highlights lessons aligned with common core

Educators at Longfellow School in Bozeman, Mont., are tailoring their lessons to the Common Core State Standards. School staff recently highlighted examples of lessons aligned to the common core for school board trustees. In one lesson, a math teacher asked students to create paper cylinders large enough to hold two cups of popcorn and then calculate how much popcorn they would need for a party.
