P/C sector voices doubt over N.Y. governor's statement on workers' comp

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the state's budget will result in a 26% reduction for employers' workers' compensation premiums, but some officials in the property/casualty insurance industry say they doubt that will happen. The projected savings "will not be as far reaching as public policymakers hope," said Ellen Melchionni, president of the New York Insurance Association.
