Produce promoters can use "Sesame Street" characters for free

Sesame Workshop is waiving its license fee for members of the Produce Marketing Association, allowing the companies to use its "Sesame Street" characters to promote healthy eating, in a deal announced by first lady Michelle Obama. Elmo stickers on an apple nearly doubled the number of children picking the fruit over a cookie, according to a Cornell University study. "Imagine what it will be like to have our kids begging us to buy them fruits and vegetables instead of cookies, candy and chips," Obama said.
