In an analysis of data from the 2010 National Health Interview Survey, CDC researchers found that epilepsy patients were more likely to report heart disease, cancer and stroke than the general population. The study in the agency's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report found a greater prevalence of high blood pressure and diabetes among adults with epilepsy compared with those without the condition.
