Solving problems that crop up in business should involve more than tackling the immediate challenge at hand and ought to include considerable forethought devoted to the nature of problem-solving itself, writes leadership adviser Mike Myatt. "It's a skill to be developed like any other. But the one aspect that makes problem solving more complex than other leadership skills is that the best solutions are rarely created in a vacuum, and rarely do they come from the leader themselves," Myatt writes.
