Arkansas creates teacher exchange program with Taiwan

Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan to establish a teacher-exchange program that will begin sending American educators abroad as early as August. The program will place Arkansas teachers in Taiwanese schools for one year, and Taiwanese counterparts likely will, at some future time, work in Arkansas schools as Chinese language instructors.
