Kid-friendly PCs teach tech skills, but not too soon

Pared-down computers without bells and whistles that can intimidate novice users are being marketed to younger children. Even with kid-friendly keyboards and software, however, experts advise parents to closely monitor children's computer usage and not introduce technology before children can read and write if they hope to reap an educational benefit.
