Michigan company trains students to install metal roofs

A group of 22 Michigan students recently learned how to install aluminum shingle roofs during a visit to American Metal Roofs. The students are building a new hall for Michigan's Bengal Township. American Metal Roof consultant Mike Griffin noted that the metal roof will reduce the township's air conditioning bills by 30% or more. The roofing company, which is based in Flint, Mich., also offers do-it-yourself classes for homeowners.
